One of the strategic ambitions of the Science Museum Group (SMG) is to increase income. The Cultural and Commercial Partnerships team is critical in realising this aim as part of the Group’s commercial Enterprises department. The team’s overarching purpose is to increase financial income and to raise SMG’s profile nationally and internationally commercially leveraging our brand, content, and skills. To support this work, we are now looking for a Senior Partnerships Manager (Brand Licensing) on a job-share basis (17.5 hours pw) to join the newly formed sales team at the Science Museum in London. The main purpose of the role will be business development, client relationship management and contract negotiations. You will focus on developing commercial clients for the team’s brand licensing activity and promote the team’s product portfolio (including training and consultancy services) in line with clients’ needs.
Joining us, you will bring solid experience of brand licensing, client relationship management, business development or sales and marketing. You will hold demonstrable experience of negotiating multiple contracts simultaneously across different projects, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. You will be able to think creatively to identify new business opportunities and proactively taking these ideas forward to increase income. As Senior Partnerships Manager (Brand Licensing), you will hold a good understanding of IP ownership, rights, copyright, and compliance.
