Do you have demonstrable project management experience? Do you want to be responsible for converting existing content and exhibitions into digital packs for our partners and clients?
About Us
At the Science Museum Group (SMG), we aim to inspire futures by creating informal learning environments through our exhibitions programmes which are designed to grow ‘science capital’ for our diverse audiences.
The new Exhibitions Strategy marks a step change in the Museum’s aspiration to engage with the best practices to enhance our visitors’ experiences through beautiful, appropriate and well-crafted displays shown across SMG and beyond. Committed to this strategic priority the Exhibition Services team will support colleagues across the organisation to successfully deliver exhibitions, both within SMG and with our external partners nationally and internationally.
We are now recruiting for a Project Delivery Manager (Partnerships) to work across both our Exhibition Services team and our Cultural and Commercial Partnerships team based at the Science Museum in London. This is a permanent contract, working 35 hours per week.
About the role
As Project Delivery Manager (Partnerships), you will directly support client projects in our external Partnerships team within the Cultural and Commercial Partnerships department. You will liaise with the team directly and support projects from initial proposals through to the delivery stage.
You will be converting existing content and exhibitions into a pre-described ‘Blueprint Pack’ format, these are digital exhibition packs designed for national and international venues to use. You will also be coordinating content and input from across SMG into presentations and proposals suitable for external client projects.
Alongside this work you will also support the core activities of Exhibition Services, in particular the planning and delivery of exhibitions and gallery updates within the Science Museum.
About you
Joining us you will have demonstrable project management experience, including a project management qualification or equivalent knowledge/experience. You will also possess demonstrable experience of project work and the ability to co-ordinate complex and detailed tasks within tight timescales.
You will have a proven track record of managing complex budgets successfully with an ability to report accurately, plan cash flow and meet expenditure targets. Crucially you will have the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both within the museum as well as contractors and external consultants and clients for projects.
