You will be part of the SMG’s successful fundraising team that has a track record of securing multi-million-pound gifts from leading funders in the UK, which ultimately enables SMG to continue delivering key national programmes.About the role
We are looking for a Development Manager to join the Trusts, Foundations & Government (TFG) team. You will key player in raising multi-million-pound income for the museum by cultivating strong funder relationships based across the country.
Involved in developing engaging, persuasive applications and proposals, and communicating our strategic ambitions; you will manage a portfolio of TFG funder accounts working to deliver long term, high-value strategic partnerships and significant renewals.
Along with strategic account management, you will be developing your own portfolio, alongside the Senior Development Manager and wider TFG team, of new business prospects to support SMG’s ambitious campaigns.
As we endeavour to offer flexibility where possible, this role will work to a hybrid working pattern with regular visits to your local SMG site. We are open to where you are located across the country, as this role can either be based in London, Manchester or York.About you
We are open to whether you are an established fundraising manager or if you are an executive who is looking to take the next step.
Mostly, you will have experience in developing and delivering high-value funding applications, with an ability to write engaging and compelling content. You will have experience of working to and achieving fundraising targets, with an organised and efficient approach.
You are a good team player and with strong interpersonal skills, and can engage with a range internal and external stakeholders.
