Are you an experienced graphic designer with an understanding of 2D and 3D design integration in a museum environment? Are you a confident communicator who is able to work effectively with various stakeholders?
The Science Museum's Design Studio includes both graphic and spatial designers. We design for temporary exhibitions and permanent galleries, such as the RIBA London Award winning Mathematics, the Winton Gallery with Zaha Hadid Architects. We design wayfinding and signage, marketing campaigns, print and publications for the Museum. Together with our Communications colleagues, we are the Brand Guardians.
We have a very exciting opportunity for a talented, ambitious individual to take up a creative graphic design role within the busy Science Museum Design Studio. As Graphic Designer, you will be creatively challenged to develop graphic design for print, brochures, learning resources, signage, marketing campaigns and temporary exhibitions. You will be asked to find new ways of interpreting our style guidelines through fresh and sophisticated, high-quality graphic design. You will be joining the team to both support and lead on graphic design projects.
You will have excellent technical artworking skills, meticulous attention to detail and be print and technology savvy. We are looking for someone with creative flair, a passion for design and a keen interest in exhibitions and museums.
With a flexible approach to work, you will be a keen problem solver, highly proactive and confident working with colleagues across the Group. You will need to have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines, priorities projects and workload effectively and maintain a calm and professional demeanour.
