Are you a fully qualified accountant with experience of systems? Are you able to report financial information to non-specialist audiences in a clear way?
The Science Museum Group are now recruiting a Reporting Accountant for a six-month period, to focus on a project to develop a monthly reporting pack for use by our Finance colleagues in their communication with stakeholders at all levels of our organisation.
We’re looking to deliver a step-change in our reporting capabilities and, as Reporting Accountant, you’ll use our finance system to write a number of reports that will help our finance colleagues provide meaningful information to the Executive, budget holders, project managers and administrators. You’ll play a key role in improving financial information available across the business. This role can be based either in London or Manchester. Travel to our other Museum sites may be required as and when necessary.
Joining us, you will be a hold a relevant accounting qualification and will enjoy working with multiple stakeholders to understand their needs. You will be able to use your knowledge to understand, sense check and challenge financial information when reported. You’ll have an ability to analyse and present financial information in a clear and simple way, to various colleagues, and will work to continuously refine and improve reports in order to meet the needs of the business.
