To support this ongoing mission, we are looking for an Assistant Curator to join us at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester on a 6-month, fixed-term contract.
In this role, you will research, enhance and publish the data we hold about our collections, support specialist curators in reviewing and growing our collections, provide curatorial support to our contemporary science and learning programmes and work to improve the management and care of our collections.
Joining us, you will bring experience of or a passion for working with science and industry collections and of museum collections management. You will have an awareness of collections care issues and be experienced at conducting research, able to use your excellent communication skills to share authentic stories and translate complex information for non-specialist, diverse, audiences.
