We are now looking for an Audience Researcher and Advocacy Manager to join our Learning team to manage audience research and advocacy across the Science Museum Group.
Audience research is key to our new approach which is audience-centred, equitable, evidence-based, collaborative, relevant, agile, efficient and sustainable. Your role will take the lead on the planning and delivery of Audience Research and Advocacy for Science Museum Group projects– exhibitions, online and event-based programmes, ensuring that our offering is very much audience-focussed. You will manage a team, along with the planning and co-ordinating strategic audience research and evaluation across the Group, in order to support the creation and delivery of offers for a diverse range of audiences. You will have a science capital approach to the work you do, in order to encourage people to feel more at home with science and to help encourage them to make STEM career choices.
Joining us, you will be able to apply your knowledge and experience of learning in museum contexts and wider education research and demonstrate your strong commitment to and understanding of the significance of audience research and how it supports the museum to develop and deliver an engaging and inspiring offer for our visitors. Experience in leading and motivating a team is also essential along with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
