Do you have experience of eCommerce website trading and digital marketing? Do you have strong analytical skills and a sensitivity to brand and tone of voice? Would you like to make a real difference to the commercial success of one of the UK's largest cultural institutions?
At the Science Museum Group (SMG) our commercial operations help fund our museums’ activities and offer visitors an even better experience. As eCommerce Executive you will play a vital role in assisting the Group eCommerce Manager at an exciting time during a transformation project. Your key responsibility will be to ensure impeccable website presentation and to implement trading and marketing activities through Shopify, its associated apps and features, MSP and CRM, ensuring all activity maximises sales and profit opportunities.
In this role you will oversee the content management, merchandising and trading of two Shopify eCommerce websites. This includes product administration of a catalogue of 800 – 1000 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), including copywriting of product descriptions, set-up for new products, page creation, email marketing, trading and analysis, and on & off-page SEO.
Joining us you will use your effective communication and teamworking skills to work in collaboration with other SMG teams such as Graphic Design, Museum PR and Marketing to create, implement and schedule email marketing and social media activity - ensuring all creative and copy is on-brand and fulfils key objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is commercially aware with strong web, trading, digital marketing, copywriting, and administration skills. You will use your excellent attention to detail to analyse the customer journey whilst interpreting data to help drive decision making and campaign optimisation.
Joining us as an employee, you will have the opportunity to develop your career in a world-class museum group. You’ll work in inspiring spaces within a collaborative, supportive and ‘open for all’ culture. We know work/life balance and wellbeing is crucial to our colleagues, so we offer up to 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays; BUPA medical and dental care; employee assistance programme; enhanced contributory pension; enhanced occupational sick, maternity, paternity and adoption leave; career breaks and Trade Union recognition.
