Job description
Do you have experience of handling and moving historic objects?
We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Object Handler to join the One Collection project - our strategic initiative to re-imagine how our collection is cared for, accessed and shared. In this role you will work alongside the Inventory, Hazards, Conservation, Photography and Packing
teams to make objects accessible and aid the collection move from Blythe House to Wroughton.
You will have the ability to move large and heavy objects using appropriate manual handling techniques, be a good communicator, and collaborate with colleagues and work as part of a team. You will also have a good understanding of Health and Safety laws.
You will be offered excellent benefits, including 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme, BUPA medical and dental care, an annual season ticket loan and numerous staff discounts whilst developing your career in a world class museum group.
This role is offered on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis.
