The Science Museum Group encourages audiences to learn about the science which shapes our modern lives through a world-renowned collection of objects, galleries and exhibitions across 5, national museums.
As Learning Events Assistant at the National Science and Media Museum, you will be supporting the development and delivery of learning events and Festivals, on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. You will provide administrative and project management support for Bradford Science Festival; the family half term programmes; summer holiday programme and audience development events and activities.
As the Learning Events Assistant, you will develop relationships with external contractors and contributors and act a point of contact for contractor management and health and safety documentation. You will communicate with other teams in the museum, ensuring that they are kept up to date with event plans as required.
Joining us, you will hold experience working with diverse audiences, along with an awareness of understanding and meeting audience needs. You’ll be a strong administrator, organised and efficient with a personable and customer-focussed approach. As Learning Events Assistant, you’ll enjoy the variety of liaising with a number of different people, including external contractors, as well as pitching in to help the team in the delivery of learning events and Bradford Science Festival. This is a great entry-level role in events-delivery, in a unique and engaging Museum environment.
