As ICT Solutions Engineer at the Science Museum in London, you will be part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, providing quality technical services to our customer and infrastructure operations along with project functions within ICT. You will work across desktop support to 3rd line infrastructure (server, network, virtualisation) and Service Desk cover support. As such, maintaining and improving customer satisfaction is key.
As well as developing your own expertise, you will have great opportunities to gain and share knowledge over a wide spectrum of systems that the ICT team support. You will have opportunity to develop your career in IT, gaining skills through both informal and formal training and through on-the-job learning. Members of the team are also given dedicated ‘training hours’ each week to incorporate self-development.
Joining us, you will have excellent communication and customer service skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be open to achieving certification in key technology used within the Group. There will be an element of travel within this role. You will work partly from home, and partly across our 2 sites in London (the Science Museum and Blythe House) as well as our National Collections Centre in Wroughton. Therefore, a driving licence and/or flexibility to travel is beneficial.
