Do you have experience of developing and delivery training courses? Are you excited at the prospect of leading a new Training Academy which will engage a wide range of audiences?
In the Autumn of this year, we will be launching a Training Academy which will deliver inspirational science engagement training courses and resources to teachers, museum and STEM professionals.
The courses themselves will be practical and are designed to share our creative approach for igniting curiosity and engaging a wide range of audiences with STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), which are underpinned by academic research.
We're looking to recruit a Programme Lead on a fixed term contract (until August 2021), based in Manchester to lead the design, development, delivery and maintenance of high impact, high quality professional development training programmes and resources which shares Science Museum Group's (SMG) approach and research around engaging audiences with science. You will also proactively identify opportunities to work with key audience groups and develop and curate content for an online presence for the Academy.
It is essential that you have a good understanding of current informal science learning and science engagement research, as well as experience of working with teachers, STEM professionals and/ or museum educators. You'll possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing a team.
You will be offered excellent benefits, including 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays, BUPA medical and dental care, a contributory company pension scheme, an interest free loan offer and numerous staff discounts whilst developing your career in a world class museum group.
Interviews are expected to take place on Friday 31st October 2018.
