Can you Think Big?
Here at The National Railway Museum in York we are looking for a creative Learning and Participation Manager to join our Masterplan team on an initial 12 month contract.
We have set ourselves an ambitious challenge, planning to spend GBP 20million on our Masterplan. This will see the museum move through a series of exciting transformations in the form of new projects that will showcase our world class collection, celebrate engineering excellence and reveal the impact of railways on our lives, truly sharing authentic stories with every visitor.
Taking the lead in participation projects with our audiences, we need a real strategic thinker who can support the development of new galleries, exhibitions and programmes. Conducting and using audience research will be critical in creating experiences which inspire engagement with STEM - revealing wonder to all.
Working with the wider projects, curatorial, interpretations, and visitor experience teams you will apply learning theories and research strategies to assist with the design and theming of our new permanent galleries. You will not be shy to work collaboratively, sharing your knowledge and best practice in learning across teams whilst working to create and develop activity plans and learning programmes for a diverse audience.
You will also be a strong communicator, able to build both internal and external stakeholder relationships, work with local and regional organisations and ensure rail industry partnerships are formed, bringing added value to the project.
In return we can offer you a competitive salary and benefits package, if you want to know more then please give us a call - we love to talk.
If we have ignited your curiosity then apply now to come and join us inspire futures through Science!
